Man and Woman, It’s God’s Idea: 1 Corinthians 14:33-36 and Galatians 3:28
Sam Pirrotta and Dan Rudman continue their survey of the passages in New Testament epistles which deal with the roles of men and women. 1 Corinthians 14:33-36 speaks towards a woman’s role when weighing prophecy in the public assembly. Furthermore, given the ongoing pattern of manhood and womanhood clearly displayed in Scripture, the text needed to overturn the pattern must be overwhelmingly clear. Is Galatians 3:28 the text that overturns the pattern as so many egalitarians believe? We are not convinced it is.
